They don’t call Missouri the “Show-Me” state for nothing, as thousands of runners took over downtown St. Louis to run in the 2014 rungevity Rock ‘n’ Roll St. Louis Marathon & 1/2 Marathon presented by the Quinn Family Foundation. Through the event’s partnership with rungevity, the 2014 race benefited the Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital and Team Activities for Kids (TASK). Over the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon’s 4 year history in St. Louis, TASK has raised more than $2.5 million through the event to build a new afterschool facility for St. Louis children with special needs. Race weekend included a 5k on Saturday with a marathon, half-marathon, 5k and a relay on Sunday. Runners who completed events on two days received the special #RemixChallenge medal.
